AFMC Shyam Bhatt Quiz.
This was the first inter-college quiz I attended ever, in 1998. Obviously didnt qualify, there were lot of heavyweights around those days, literally considering George(COEP), Bhatta(AFMC), Anirban(F.C.), Srikanth(AIT) etc. Enjoyed seeing the quiz and the competition. After that have been to 3-4 Shyam Bhatt's , have qualified for the finals generally, best result was a second rank about 2-3 yrs back I guess. Winning this year so was very special, felt nostalgic. The way we (I and Amit) performed this year also was quite satisfying, we complemented each other well. Also we really put in a virtuoso display in the last round which was based on personalities, which put the issue beyond doubt, we were the best team on the day. The quiz was well conducted by veteran quizzer Brijesh from AFMC. Lots of standard evergreen quizzing stuff, plus some well thought out questions. The AFMC Dhanvantari audi has a nice ambience, and have always enjoyed quizzing there. The success in this quiz undoubtedly made up for some below par shows in Chakravyuh and BCJ.
