Free Time

The fifth semester here has been relatively easy on the academic front. There is a lot of time for sleeping, movies, reading books,exercising and taking part in competitions. This is primarily due to the choice of subjects that I have taken in this term. There is a preponderance of Strategy Courses, they do not require as much effort and time as compared to finance courses. Have taken part in diverse set of competitions : Equity research, B-Plan, Marketing Research, Strategy Game,Paper Writing, Case Competitions etc. Have met with little to moderate success, but overall the experience has been pretty enriching.

Best part about life here is that you are mostly in control of your time and effort, there are lot of choices you can make about what to do and when to do and how much to do. These choices will definitely become much limited when I will be back in the corporate world. I am sure I will miss this time here. So enjoy it while it lasts.

The weather here has become very pleasant, the cold season is about to set in a few weeks time. I prefer that more to the oppressive heat in the summers. Taking hot tea from the mess at 1am in the night and walking back to the hostel with dense fog outside is certainly an unique experience.
